【hanarerad】
hanareradはhanare＋RADが共同でおこなうレジデンスプロジェクト。下鴨にある一軒家に国内外のアーティストや研究者、アクティビスト、建築家、農家、その他とにかく面白くて、社会を変えうるアイデアで溢れる人たちに滞在してもらい、アイデアの交換とその実践を試みるプロジェクトです。その名も「hanarerad —Interesting People in Residence（IPR）」です。

hanare and RAD (Research for Architectural Domain) has lunched a new collaborative residential program, "Interesting People in Residence (IPR)" at "hanarerad (hanare+rad) " in Kyoto. Located in the beautiful area of Kyoto, we will be inviting artists, academia, activists, farmers, architects or anyone who has creative/interesting ideas that challenge social norms, and has potentials to change the way our society is oriented. Our purpose of IPR is, to share, exchange, and practice the ideas brought by by residents.

私たちRADは「建築の居場所（Architectural Domain）」に関するリサーチ活動を行うインディペンデントな組織です。「建築的なアイデアは「建てること」だけを目指すべきではない」を合言葉に、 ではそのとき建築家に、あるいは建築には何ができるのかをリサーチしています。これまでに空間構成、アーティストの制作支援、建築的なアイデアに光を当て る建築展覧会、レクチャーイベントの企画運営、京都市への都市利用提案等を試みてきました。

RAD is an independent organization for researching for architectural domain. We look again our everyday life in the light of architecture and city, try to figure out what "architecture" is, and express these process through various projects.

2006年にウィークリーカフェ「喫茶はなれ」の運営を開始してから2010年4月にhanareは4周年を迎えます。ワークショップ・レクチャー、ビジュアルプロジェクト等の企画・運営を通し、生活に関わること全て（食、芸術、現代思想、身体、政治／経済、建築、他全部）について実験的でワクワクする活動を行っている人達と協働しながら、新しい考え方、表現方法を模索し、実践しています。あくまでも京都に生きる私たちの生活に深く根ざしながら、世界の地方都市ともダイレクトに繋がり、共に生きて行くこと、インディペンデントな場所とし て、抗う力を養う場所でもありたいと思っています。今後は２１世紀の「公民館」として活動の幅を広げて行きます。

Started as a weekly cafe´ in 2006 and now entering its fourth year, hanare is a project space that collectively and dynamically searches out ways of realizing a better world, through the weekly coffee house project, "Kissahanare," workshops, lectures and political visual projects. It attempts to engage with the emergent social issues relevant to life today: food, art, politics, urban planning, cultural theory, farming, and more! hanare also works together with people from various fields who are experimenting with creative projects to find ways of practicing a new, spontaneous way of living. While hanare's work has its roots firmly in the local Sakyo district of Kyoto, it also wishes to be a space with direct links to other regional towns and cities in the world, and an independent place where critique and creativity are nurtured. hanare continues to expand its effort to be a 21st century social & cultural center.
